When do you see health visitor




















We used to see them relatively frequently when he was a little baby as we took him to get weighed quite a lot as he had feeding and weight problems but since that resolved when he started weaning we pretty much never see them.

My lg is 14 months now and we see the health visitor once per month but we have to go to the baby clinic at the doctors. We only go so often cause my little one has to get weighed as she wasnt picking up much weight. If I need to speak to my HV - I can just call and arrange a home visit and she come for 1 hr to discuss some issues i was having.

I think that you might be much better off to find a support group, rather than counting on a health visitor for much help. Do you have a local children's centre that you can visit, they will have groups that you can attend where you can talk to other mums, or they will be able to give you advice of where else you can go to find help? We saw the HV twice at home and then were told where the nearest GP surgery is where a weekly weigh-in and talk was available.
